Proverbs 24:16b- For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.

Yesterday Mike Vick was conditionally reinstated into the NFL. It would be safe to say that his mistakes which were terrible and has cost him dearly. He lost his freedom for almost 2 years. Millions of dollars and his reputation. Many are debating on if he deserves another chance after his mistakes. I don't plan on casting any stones at anybody. I am so thankful I serve a God who will forgive and still bless, even after a mistake. It is good that man does not have a heaven or hell to put us in. It light of the subject of mistakes, I want to give you some wisdom to birth purpose after you make a mistake.

#1. The first Key to birthing purpose is to have a Revelation about mistakes.

The question is not will you make a mistake. But, what you will do when you do make a mistake? As you pursue purpose in your marriage, relationships, career, as a entrepreneur and in your calling there will be mistakes made .

� Mistakes become the birthing ground for wisdom and wealth if you learn from them and handle them the proper way ----- Example: This is how Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. He discovered what did not work each time he made a mistake.

� Mistakes become a catalyst for creativity in our lives.

Example: White out was birthed because someone made an abundance of errors while typing. Post-it notes because someone made a mistake and made glue that was not strong enough.

From the broken,battered and bruised places of your life can emerge bountiful blessings if you to do the right thing when you make a mistake.

#2. Genesis 3:11, 12 - Take Responsibility for your mistakes.

� Don't blame others and pass the buck. The first thing is you must do is acknowledge that you made a mistake in your actions, your judgment or in your assumptions.

� Take ownership for your part and your response to the situation ------ This is crucial to know because it is easier to point the finger or blame someone else than it is to point the finger at yourself and get better.

� Taking responsibility is how you find God and gold in a negative situation. You also must start laying the ground work to prevent from making a similar mistake in the future. I hope Mike Vick doesn't go the way of Pac Man Jones and wastes his second chance.

� It is easy to take responsibility for sinful mistakes. But it takes maturity to take responsibility for mistakes of wisdom, judgment, preparation, implementation and follow-up.

#3. Romans 3:23 - Realize your mistake is not the end of the world.

� We are all human (that's why we need the blood) it washes and erases our mistakes in the eyes of God. We serve a God who specializes in taking a mess and making a message out of it.

� Our aim should be to strive for perfection. However, when we make a mistake we should learn from them, grow from them and not to make the same mistake again.

� Because you are human, you will make a mistake at sometime in the future as a spouse, parent, business owner, employee, leader, friend, relative, child of God, or church member.

� In order to arise after a mistake and not go down in demise ,you must have a positive, optimistic outlook. This is why some arise and some go down in demise. They do not rebound, because of the mistake, but because of their outlook and actions as a result of the mistake.

� A positive optimistic out look says, "This mistake is not a sign of my end, but a sign of a new beginning in my walk with God, My relationship, My career, My business, My ministry, My Destiny!"

Acts 9:1-6 The mistake identified to Paul on the road to Damascus signified not the end but the beginning for Paul's life. His out look and response is what made the difference.

Matthew 27:1-5 - If you do not find the positive in your mistake, no matter how painful it may be, this is what will happen. Like Judas you will compound, escalate and by your actions terminate any new life that God wanted to bring forth in spite of the mistake that you made.

� Peter and Paul both made mistakes but they did not compound their mistakes like Judas did. Say these words outloud "My mistakes will serve as a launching pad for new levels and new beginnings in my life.

I am excited for you. Get ready for a new beginning!

I believe that Michael Vick should hold his head high and move forward. Minnesota could use a good quarterback like Vick. I would go there and put my best foot forward. The man has served the sentence placed on him. Although others may judge him because of his past, he should not even discuss the past, but move forward and create a fresh new future.

I think Michael Vick should try hard to take this opportunity to make the best of it. He need to realize that we all mess up and the key is to admit it and get up and remember no matter what someone is going to throw stones but He was to move on.

Let me start by saying thank you Pastor for putting the time and energy in to each of these blogs, I truly believe that this will be the beginning to a greater level of ministry. I feel that Vick has paid his due. I believe he should push forward in his quest to join a team, and once there push even harder to show his fans that even when you make a mistake its not over. Vick has been given a second chance, he is now participating in the rehabilitation of the dogs and helping to spread awareness about animal cruelty. I think that people should acknowledge his debt paid and let the man move forward. The God we serve is a God that forgives, He is a God that has the power to restore, to deliver and set free.

I think this should make him one deterimed man to show the haters that he has changed. I like the effort he has made with Tony Dungy. I feel Vick needs to find a new direction away from the troubled friends he has. He must not blow this opportunity. He needs to make GOD HIS NEW FRIEND. He can not use money as an excuse, he has none. I hope this will make him a better manager of his money and ask Magic or MJ for finanical recommendations.

Living in the Hampton Roads area trust me I hear about Vick hourly. Vick was training with a local high school the other day and I can only hope he is getting his life back. In the newspaper people are leaving nasty and derogatory comments. I truly think Mike needs to get his family life straight he has a fiance and he might want to go ahead and make that right along with making sure he sets a good example for his sons. Let God lead him.

I think Mike need to take this mistake and make it into something positive. Believ it or not there are a lot of people who still love Mike Vick the QB. He deserves to make a living, and the media needs to understand, instead of focusing on vick focus on the people that got away and continue to this day getting away with dog fighting. He paid the price for his mistake. I just hope he surrond himself with the right people. If he does then and about 12 months it will all be silence about Vick. Its sad that some people want him to fail.

I Think Mike should first of all repent to God and turn from his old ways. If he has repented then it should be a great start not to look back at his pass but push himselve into the purpose that god has ordained for his life. People will always do their job by keeping you in bondage because of your past but you have to walk in the authority that God has given you in the name of Jesus.

There is a strange thing about your mistakes. God forgives but the reality is that man (saved or otherwise) are not soon to forget. As we journey through life and have life experiences we have to remember that forgiveness is only needed from, first God and then yourself. God forgives us but since we are human we have a tendency to rehash our mistakes and allow them to bring us to a standstill and it seems like just when your over it there is someone there to remind you of how you fouled things up.

Mike Vic is not experiencing any more than what any ex con out here in the real world experiences once they have served time and come out and attempt to resume a normal life. There is a stigma that he will carry with him for the rest of his days. Lets just pray that Mike Vic doesn't take the long, winding road home and that he repents and gets his life right so that the proper doors can be opened.

Wow it is so good to know that God is such a forgiven God. You are so right that the blood of Jesus has washed our sins away but we must understand that once we are washed we shouldn't get back into the same mess again.I pray that Vick has learned his lesson and move forward.On another note I'm so glad that I can get this wisdom and revelation on a daily bases.I know that you will be going places so pack your bags. God will reward your faithfulness. Keep being faithful my mentor,friend,teacher,lover,pastor,babies daddy and husband. You go babe!Much love, your wife for life.
